Pivotal Weigh feeders
IPAs' Pivotal weigh feeders provide an advanced solution for your demanding weigh system needs. The pivotal model has a fulcrum at the infeed creating a dead zone for product to be introduced. The discharge end of the feeder is supported by a single load cell. This approach to weighing provides exceptional performance by eliminating errors caused by the quality / tension of the belting material. The weigh span of this model is much larger than traditional through the belt weighers. The increased weigh span provides a large live load signal and reduces errors caused by product buildup.

-
Belt tension does not affect weighing accuracy. Positive belt tracking may be used.
-
Large weigh span minimizes zero calibration errors due to product buildup.
-
Large, durable weight sensors may be used.
-
Lowest zero drift of any model
-
Inventory control.
-
Controlling the flow rate of product.
-
A master or slave weight signal in a blending application.
The PWF comes standard with automatic calibration on the standard and sanitary versions. Automatic calibration may be available on severe duty on an application by application basis.
-
Standard duty: Mild steel construction, used primarily in non-wash down applications.
-
Sanitary duty: Stainless Steel and synthetic construction, used in wash down / caustic environments.
-
Severe Duty: Utilizes CEMA4 rollers, designed to handle heavier belt loads.
-
Gear motor is standard on all designs, motorized drive pulley is available.
-
2-Ply endless belting is standard. Thermoplastic belting is available.
-
Protective Cage: Limits the area exposed that maintenance and sanitation workers can interact with. Effective in preventing excessive loads on the scale from workers walking on the machine or placing heavy items on it during maintenance
-
Spray Header: Available as an accessory to assist in sanitation. Directs two sprays at 90 degrees apart at the infeed pulley.
Custom widths and lengths are available.
